Founder of Christian Well Being

Gregg Walborn is the founder of both the Society of Rational Well Being and ChristianWellBeing.com.  Mr. Walborn has had a successful and varied career in education, health care and business.  As a planner, designer and owner of two managed health care companies, he cultivated an interest in neuroscience, spending years researching how human biology shapes religious and moral belief.

Education & Background

Mr. Walborn has a B.A. degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBA), a comprehensive evangelical Christian university.   While at PBA he won the Victor E. Moore Award for Poetry and was a founding editor of PBA’s first literary magazine. He has also taken a variety of postgraduate courses at other universities over the years ranging from business and counseling to philosophy.

He was an adjunct instructor at Palm Beach Community College where he taught English composition and where he also introduced the college’s first course in Critical Thinking.

Mr. Walborn was a founding partner of one of the nation’s first medicare-based managed care plans in Florida.  He also founded a multistate PPO-based managed care system in Columbus, Ohio and Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He was the Deputy Director of a community health center operation involving a network of health care clinics funded by the federal government and was selected as chief analyst and author of a position paper on national health insurance initiatives for the National Association of Community Health Centers. Mr. Walborn was also a health systems planner, writing the first primary care plan for the Broward County Health Systems Agency (Ft. Lauderdale, Fl) as well as its mental health plan. Over the years, Mr. Walborn was responsible for writing a number of federal grants that funded health care centers in several states.  Currently, he owns a company in Phoenix, Arizona that provides technical services to engineers, developers and contractors.

Crimestoppers International magazine wrote an article about Mr. Walborn’s work on crime density statistics in the early 1990’s.  

Mr. Walborn has had a short story published and is currently finishing a book entitled The Paradox Of The Right And The Good.
